The modeling and corresponding simulation of the mobility behavior
of objects in its complex environment are very important for the
study and realization of location and spatial-aware systems.
Contrariwise the simulation of mobility is reliant on a huge amount
of environment information a spatial-aware system could deliver. Not
only detailed road or path geometry information and demand
estimation are necessary for mobility simulation but also sensor
information like weather and street conditions, sudden events et
cetera may improve the mobility simulation. So the modeling and
simulation of mobility and spatial-aware systems can benefit from
each other. In this paper we want to provide a concept how mobility
modeling and simulation in traffic engineering can be integrated in
an extended digital world model.
